DAY AT THE BEACH IN THE BAHAMAS

HALF MOON CAY, BAHAMAS

Day at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. What an amazing day. The ship arrived at the island around 9am. Within minutes of dropping anchor the announcement came that the tenders were ready to load for the 5 minute boat ride to the island wharf.

Once on the island we just started walking along the amazing fine, white sand beach. Holland America owns this island and so the only people on the island were the people from our ship.

We found a restaurant/Bar where the band from the ship were playing. So we had a Planters Punch and danced to a couple of the tunes.

We walked a long way down the beach. Farther than most passengers would consider and found that we had the beach all to ourselves. The colour of the sea and the clean fine sand were enough to just stay and enjoy for days.

The sand was very clean, white and very fine. We walked along the sand just to feel the warmth and the joy of a clear, warm day.

Lucy had picked the right swimsuit to wear for the day!!
